Practising outside shifts something in you. The breeze, the warmth, the sound of the city below. It all helps you breathe deeper and let go faster. Indoors, your mat is your world. Outdoors, everything around you becomes part of the practice.
In Málaga, the sun is almost always with you. Morning classes start with golden light and the smell of the sea. That alone is enough to make you want to show up. And showing up consistently is what yoga is really about.
There's also something grounding about practising on actual ground. Uneven surfaces, a gust of wind, a bird flying past. These things keep you present in a way a studio ceiling never will.
Pose to try
Tree Pose (Vrksasana)
Stand on one leg, press your foot into your inner thigh or calf, and bring your hands together at your chest. Feel the ground beneath you. Outdoors, even the lightest breeze makes this a real challenge and a real lesson in focus.
